SUPER AUNTY

What makes a superhero? Is it incredible strength? The ability to see through walls or hear a whisper a mile away? Is it the skill of knowing when someone is in need? Four friends in a Hawai‘i schoolyard explore what it takes to be a superhero. They come to realize that the women who raise them are the the strongest, fastest, bravest people they know.

This project is part of a national effort for BIPOC playwrights to re-define what is a super-hero.
