HTY Digital Resources for Teachers

The resources available on this page offer teachers multiple ways to integrate creative strategies into daily lessons. There are instructional videos, step-by-step drama strategy guides, lesson plans with handouts and videos and connections to many different texts. Feel free to download any or all of them. The lessons were filmed during an HTY professional development course for classroom teachers called ‘Creative Engagement, Critical Literacy.’ You will see teachers as participants, but the demonstrated strategies are intended for use with children in a classroom setting. Each video shows how to apply a single drama integration strategy to exploring fiction or nonfiction text.
